Purpose

   The goal for this section of the website is to discuss an amazing slab of wood I got from a tree that was still alive when Columbus got off of his boat in the Bahamas.

 

   Most of the content in this section will be used to promote a social media story that revolves around the slab and what I've done to it.

 

   The content of this section of the site will be tailored to the following archetypes I've defined for my business.

• Keith the woodworker - Detailed step by step instructions so he can build what I have
• Kristie the Craftsperson - Discussion of material selection and aesthetic qualities I incorporated into the build
• Jane the purchaser - We're going to build high end stuff with this wood.  It would be nice to be able to sell what we will build!  :)

Storyline Threads

   The first thread will describe the history of the slab and all projects we built from the material

• Story of the how the Slab came to me
• Testing Building Properties
• Project 1 through Project x built with the Slab
• Coffee table type of book

 

   The second thread will contain all of instructions needed to build the same stuff I built with the slab.  These pages will  inherit the login requirements of The Learning Center.

   All "Chapters" in The Learning Center may contain any or all of the following types of information:

• Blueprints of the design
• Tool setup and cut order
• Sequence of assembly,
• Adding Inlays
• Sanding, and finishing
• How To Build videos

   This page will tell the story of the redwoods from before man to where we are today.  Possible link to a social cause like the Serra Club or something like that.
